Parents' council meeting on 19.03.24

• The school management would like to thank so many people for completing the questionnaire for the external school evaluation .

• Unfortunately, racism is once again an issue in Sihlfeld. The children will talk about it in class council. But it is also important that we as parents listen carefully and that any reports from children are passed on to the class teachers. We on the parents' council will consider how we can continue our series of events "Against racism and for diversity".

• We would also like to address the topic of media literacy again, particularly cyberbullying . There will be a parent education evening on this topic; an invitation will follow.

• Speaking of media: Do you need help using "My Account" , the online service of the City of Zurich for registering for daycare, sports courses and much more? The OJA (Open Youth Work Zurich) offers workshops on this. We have linked the offer on our website .

• We were invited by the district school administration to give a lecture about equal opportunities in our schools. Ms. Carola Mantel researched this and also collected practical tips. Some are available on their project website . In the ER we will collect ideas about what we parents can specifically contribute.

• As already reported, preparations are underway for the start of the day school in summer 2025. We will soon send you questions regarding your wishes.

• The neighborhood wants new monsters for Bullingerplatz! Who can help with the crafting? Children can help if accompanied by an adult. Sunday, May 26, 2024, 2-5 p.m. in the Bullinger neighborhood room, Bullingerstrasse 9.

• The summer festival will take place on June 28th and the parents' council will be present as always. Prepare to be surprised!
